First Exhibition since the degree show!

Oho!! It's been an exciting night for me, this evening was the preview of the 6x4 ehibition held at the Cooper Gallery Project Space in Dundee. (It's attached to the College of Art)
 See below..

As you can see it is on from the 15th - 27th of this month. So get along there and take a look! There is a diverse mix of postcards and you will love it! There is something there for everyone.

I have to say a major congrat's to Nicola Prosser who had the idea and organised the whole thing (with some help from some lovely people, so I'm told), she waded through literally hundreds of postcards and pulled it off in a very proffessional manner! Good luck with your fourth year and well done Nicola!! (Also thanks for putting my stuff up haha)

I'll let any of you who go along to the exhibtion guess which two are my works and I will also leave you with this tantalising titbit...there is a piece that wasn't included but has been 'finished off' by random strangers...I will be posting a photograph of it and the other two in the coming weeks.

I hope you make it along!!

'My Brother's Philosophy'

Here is one of my newest pieces of work...excuse the cutting board, I took the photo just after I had finished it! It's called 'My Brother's Philosophy' because it was inspired by the way he thinks about Romantice movies i.e. they must have got their inspiration from somewhere...

I loved his positive outlook on romance so much I thought I had to share it. I found it gave me hope and thought it would do the same for other people!

I know that the piece is perhaps a little difficult to read, however the whole idea of this one is that you get up close to it and read the whole thing, as well as the main message. I tried to make the main message as clear as possible by using big colourful letters and dotted lines between the words. What do you think? Can you read it ok?

The piece is only 6x4"...for those who don't remember that's postcard sized. So, yep this one can be sent through the post too! However before this one is sent anywhere I am hoping to exhibit it and perhaps a few other pieces. I will leave the location a mystery just now just incase it falls through..but *crosses fingers* hopefully not. Hopefully you will be able to see my work on display again soon.

Stay with me for updates. :)
